Welcome to a Neighbourhood Link message from Cray Meadows Safer Neighbourhoods Policing Team.

At the beginning of December 2011 we executed a drugs search warrant. We had received information from the public about drugs cultivation. Working closely with officers from other local wards we entered the premises and found a very large number of cannabis plants that being cultivated using a very sophisticated hydroponics system. One person was arrested at the scene. I will keep you posted as to the outcome.

We take seriously any information passed to us about the cultivation, dealing or use of drugs and investigate every allegation. If you know someone involved in drugs you can contact us as below. To remain anonymous please contact Crimestoppers.

May we remind all of our residents to ensure they do not leave gifts where they can be seen through a window? Always lock windows and doors when going to bed or leaving the house (even for a short while). Do not put the empty boxes out for collection and advertise what you got for Christmas. Tear them up and pack into black bags or take the boxes to a local mini recycling point. But above all have a happy and crime free holiday season.
